I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about the Dave Morris series of gamebooks called Golden Dragon (such as Crypt of the Vampire and Castle of Lost Souls). I recently started to explore his Fabled Lands books from the first book and am really impressed at the system he devised for the FL series. I understand that Golden Dragon is a simpler system but I was hoping someone with experience could tell me what to expect as I decide whether to purchase them. For my tastes, Fighting Fantasy gamebooks are about as simple as I could probably tolerate. Any more complexity is generally a plus, but I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on any/all of the Golden Dragon gamebooks in any case.
