I decided to leave the death spell named as is because that's the way it's named in both "Titan" and "Caverns of the Snow Witch". When I wrote the spell up I already knew about the Death Spell in the main book, but I also rationed that there could be 2 death spells and both of them called death spells.
In the game world different spells could have the same name or known by varying names in different place, completely agree. Two spells with the same game mechanic name not so much but I think you could argue your spell had it first :)

There should be a wizard equivalent of a fireball. "Titan" mentions Nicodemus using well placed fireballs while protecting a village... A fireball doesn't have to be area effect, it could be personal sized. I guess.
Yeah I prefer that version of a fireball, it's more interesting than the usual spell artillery version. The Fireball part of your Fire spell does the job and the choice of throwing 1, 2 or 3 balls of fire is a great idea.

The Fire spell in Citadel of Chaos and Riddling Reaver only had the Explosion and Fire Wall options, and adding the other two seems like a lot of options for one spell. So I'd like to suggest splitting Fireballs into it's own 2 point spell and same with Flaming Hands. The damage for a single ball could also be 1d6+1. It has the limitations of Fire Bolt (armour reduces and dodgable) but with the cost of Energy Bolt, so 1d6+1 balances it against those along with the flexibility of being able to split it.
