the problem with the original 4 part adventure being converted is that the enemies have quite an array of different Skill scores which would make combat decidedly risky. (goblins to griffon in the starter, tavern brawl to skeletal T Rex and the fight with fish men elite guards potentially in a room filling with water, silent death demon in Blacksand and the initial fight in Allansia with a manticore. most of these fights were hard in the original and would be incredibly hard in the new edition, except if magic comes out to play, which makes it a bit more difficult again)
plus Xortan is incredibly powerful compared to what our players would be.
that said I loved those adventures and have re-used elements of them in other games (especially the "yes i'll help you, thanks for bringing me back to life, turns out I was more of a problem than the minor baddie I helped you beat: whoops!)
