Sibyl Moon Games: Notes from GaymerX 4

Sibyl Moon Games: Notes from GaymerX 4

http://ift.tt/2dKpJuL

I’m back from GaymerX 4 and (somewhat more importantly) back from San Francisco (full of steep hills, amazing people, and tasty burritos!), so it’s clearly time to sit down and get my GaymerX notes up for you.

I attended seven panels and talks at GX4:

  • Video Game Law
  • Jamming Along to Game Jams
  • Gatekeeping and Geek Policing
  • How to Twitch safely as a POC/LGBTQIA/female streamer
  • Please Stop Making Me Kill Myself – Arab representation in games post-9/11
  • Fans Vs. Creators: Is There A Better Way?
  • Game Dev for Everyone – Modern Interactive Fiction (okay, I ran this one, but I was still there)

Over the next couple weeks, I’ll post writeups of each talk and add links back to this page.

I have also committed to attending GaymerX East (November 12 and 13 in NYC!) so if you see me there, please say hi!
