April 1 means that the starting gun for the 21st annual Interactive Fiction Competition is now exactly six months away! Hopeful contestants should keep in mind that all intents to enter are due a full month before that, on September 1. We’ll start accepting intents on July 1. The full schedule, as always, is on the website.
Speaking of, I’ve just made a couple of small updates to the site:
A Results option, linking to the most recent competition’s full rankings, now always appears in the site’s upper navigation bar (except during the autumnal voting period).
Every competition results page now offers a link to its own directory on the IF Archive, letting you browse that year’s files in a more direct way, and even download a ZIP archive of all that year’s games.
Thanks to Vadim V. for both suggestions.
