Welcome, I use miniatures and a wipe clean battlemat with either aquares or hexes, with odd bits of paper for waggons etc and occasionally pre printed maps from games such as Hero Quest, Advanced heroquest ( great for dungeons) the D & D boardgame, or other maps I've either drawn or picked up over my many years of Gaming
